As a service technician at TBS Engineering, you will be responsible for the assembly, setting, testing, installation and commissioning of capital equipment for the lead-acid battery industry.
The role involves extensive international travel, supporting customers at their overseas facilities, and delivering training to operator and maintenance personnel.
This hands-on, customer-facing role is suited to a technically skilled individual who enjoys problem-solving, global travel, and working with complex automated machinery.

Who would be perfect for TBS Engineering's service technician role?
The right candidate will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:- Completed a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship (ONC or HNC advantageous)
- Dual-skilled with proven experience in machine assembly and fault diagnosis
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment such as micrometres and vernier callipers
- Ability to read and interpret both mechanical assembly and pneumatic drawings, and fault-find pneumatic circuits to component level
- Understanding of electrical control circuits and PLC-controlled machinery
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply practical solutions
- Ability to write clear, concise technical reports
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and confident communicating at all levels
