People in Gloucestershire are urged to put on their best green garments this June 2026, to raise funds for beloved local charity, National Star, which helps people with disabilities realise their potential through learning.
What is National Star's Wear It Green Day?
A Cheltenham-based charity which helps people with disabilities live full and active lives through education and personalised learning, National Star aims to bring people together to celebrate inclusion, creativity and community, all while raising vital funds, through its Wear It Green Day campaign.
Back for 2026 and 'bigger, greener and louder' than ever before, local businesses, organisations from schools, to clubs and societies, and individuals are invited to:
- Wear green socks, green coats and green dresses
- Don a green tie in meetings – or even a green wig if you’re feeling bold
- Make green cakes, green lunches and green treats
- Decorate your space, classroom or office
- Turn your day green in any way you like
With everyone involved being asked to donate £2 each to the charity, participants can help National Star keep its life changing services going by 'painting the place green'.
And to raise awareness, participants are urged to share their green adventures to social media using #WearItGreen.
When is National Star's Wear It Green Day 2026?
National Star is having its official Wear It Green Day on Wednesday 24 June 2026, which anyone is welcome to join, but organisations can pick any day in June that suits them.
