Edith Nesbit’s beloved story The Railway Children is being brought to life for a special outdoor theatre performance at Gloucester Cathedral this summer.

Taking place on Friday 20 and º£½ÇÉçÇø 21 August 2021, Gloucestershire theatre company, Jenny Wren Productions, will take to the stage in the serene Cloister Garth – with Gloucester Cathedral itself providing a stunning backdrop for the shows.

Including live music and unique storytelling, the family-friendly performance tells tales of unexpected friendships, courage and community in a spectacular setting.

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, camping chairs and a picnic to enjoy before the performance.

Tickets for The Railway Children at Gloucester Cathedral cost £12 per adult, £8 for under-16’s and are available from the Everyman Theatre box office.
