The end of World War I is being marked with a huge celebration at Cheltenham Racecourse this year, with the ‘Gloucestershire and Racing Remember’ day º£½ÇÉçÇø place on the final day of The November Meeting on Sunday 18 November 2018.
One of the major highlights planned includes a thrilling aerial combat display above the racecourse, which has never been performed before at the sporting venue.
There is also set to be a march of the Royal Gloucestershire Hussars soldiers dressed in traditional uniform, as well as a special Cheltenham steam train arriving with a contingent of Glorious Glosters on board, followed by a parade on the racetrack.
HRH The Princess Royal will be attending, and a range of World War I-themed activities will also be hosted inside The Centaur – including a field hospital and exhibits from the Jet Age Museum – all in addition to the horseracing action, and under 18s go free with a paying adult.
