The most iconic event in Gloucestershire's annual calendar, the famous Cooper's Hill Cheese Rolling, is the inspiration behind a brand-new musical, premiering at London's New Wimbledon Theatre in November 2023.
Loosely based on the world-renowned event, where people plummet down a steep hill in pursuit of a high-speed wheel of Double Gloucester, Seize The Cheese! A New Musical is an uplifting, hilarious show of courage and the ultimate love of cheese.
Musical fans can expect catchy songs and a cast of unforgettable characters, who each have their own motives for chasing the cheese 鈥� which often reaches breakneck speeds on its real-life descent down Cooper's Hill, every late May bank holiday.
